Ladies non-Affiliated Team Winners!

Race report from Hannah:

Forest of Dean Half Marathon - by Luke, Laura, Cath & Hannah

Having been warned of extreme muddy conditions the intrepid trailblazers set off to surprisingly firm tacks. The first few miles were reasonably fast down a road and then a long decent. A couple of tricky hills through the middle miles with a long slow down hill before a final ascent at mile 12 (ouch). A very enjoyable route through woods and bike tracks around the Forest of Dean with lots of marshals and supporters. Four water stops over the course but no snacks - so remember to bring your own. The sun was out today and a few of us regretted not wearing shorts although there was a cool breeze. To top it off the Trailblazers Ladies Team were awarded first prize for the fastest non affiliated running club performance of the day.

Despite much searching we never did find the extreme muddy sections mentioned in the race brief we feel they may have been mythical mud or maybe following a winter of trailblazing our definition of extreme mud has been warped!
